Arnold Arboretum - Frederick Law Olmsted connection

The Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University, established in 1872, is part of Boston's Emerald Necklace and was developed with the involvement of landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted. Olmsted collaborated on the design and integration of the Arboretum into the Emerald Necklace, shaping its role as both a public park and a living scientific collection. The Arboretum continues to be managed by Harvard University and houses documented tree collections and research gardens.
