Heritage Hall (Vancouver)

Heritage Hall is a historic building in Vancouver, British Columbia, constructed in 1914 and recognized as a designated heritage site. Located on Main Street in the vibrant Mount Pleasant neighborhood, it was originally designed by architect Archibald Campbell Hope as a post office. The building's unique design came from a mix-up with plans intended for another city. In the 1970s, it briefly housed the Royal Canadian Mounted Police before being repurposed as a community arts venue in the 1980s, a role it continues to fulfill today, hosting weddings and various events. Additionally, it gained fame as a filming location for The X-Files, showcasing its cultural significance.
