Fort Negley hilltop overlook

Fort Negley is a Civil War-era fortification built by Union troops; its stone remains sit atop a prominent hill south of downtown. The park's trails and overlook areas provide unobstructed panoramic views of the Nashville skyline and the Cumberland River corridor. Interpretive signs on site explain the fort's construction and its historical context while marking the viewpoints.
