Childs Residence, located in Millersville, Maryland, is a historic home dating back to around 1840, featuring a unique blend of architectural styles with a significant 2-story addition from 1852. This site not only served as the residence of the first Postmaster of Millersville but also functioned as the local Post Office and community store for an impressive 130 years. The property includes a smokehouse/dairy from the same era and a store built around 1920. Today, it is part of the Anne Arundel County Trails program and was recognized for its historical significance by being listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986, making it a noteworthy stop for tourists and researchers alike.
