The Charles

The Charles is a striking residential skyscraper located at 1353-1355 First Avenue on Manhattan's Upper East Side. Standing at 121.31 meters (398 feet) tall, this modernist architectural marvel features a light blue facade and was designed by Ismael Levya. Developed by Bluerock Real Estate and Victor Homes, the building comprises thirty-one floors with twenty-eight full-floor condominiums, showcasing luxurious interior designs by David Collins. Originally planned for construction in 2007, the project faced delays due to the Great Recession, but resumed in 2013, making it a notable addition to New York City's skyline.
