Clark Brothers Factory No. 2

The Clark Brothers Factory No. 2, located at 409 Canal Street in Southington, Connecticut, is a historic industrial complex built between 1911 and 1918. It exemplifies early 20th-century vernacular industrial architecture and played a significant role in the local economy as a major employer. The complex features eleven buildings, including a notable manufacturing building with a sawtooth roof and a heat-treatment building with a monitor roof. Originally focused on carriage bolt production, the factory transitioned to automated manufacturing and expanded its product line during World War I. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988, making it a point of interest for both tourists and researchers exploring industrial history.
