Stardust Resort & Casino implosion (site redevelopment)

The Stardust Resort & Casino, which originally opened in 1958, was closed and demolished in the mid-2000s; the remaining structures on the Stardust site were imploded in 2007 as part of a redevelopment plan. The property's demolition marked the removal of one of the Strip's long-standing mid-century megaresorts and cleared the site for subsequent development projects.
