Palais de Glace

The Palais de Glace is a stunning Belle Époque building located in the Recoleta neighborhood of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Inaugurated in 1911, it originally served as an ice skating rink and social club, designed with a central circular rink and elegant theatre-style boxes. As ice skating waned in popularity, the venue transformed into a prestigious dance hall that played a crucial role in the rise of tango. Over the decades, it has hosted numerous art exhibitions and musical events, becoming a cultural hub. The building, which features a beautiful domed roof and large skylight, was declared a National Historic Monument in 2004 and continues to celebrate Argentina's rich artistic heritage.
