Richard Strong Cottage

The Richard Strong Cottage, located at 35 Gowing Lane in Dublin, New Hampshire, is a historic house dating back to around 1767, with significant reconstruction in 1805. This well-preserved example of a vernacular farmstead showcases a modest 1+1⁄2-story frame structure with a gabled roof and clapboarded exterior. Originally built by one of Dublin's first settlers, Silas Strong, the cottage has a rich history of ownership, including being passed down to Captain Richard Strong's family. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983 and moved to its current location in 1980, making it a notable site for tourists and researchers interested in early American architecture and local history.
