Salem Presbyterian Parsonage

The Salem Presbyterian Parsonage, also known as the Old Manse, is a historic house in Salem, Virginia, built in 1847. This two-story brick I-house showcases Greek Revival architectural details, including a charming front porch with fluted Doric columns. The structure underwent several expansions, including an L-shaped addition in 1879 and a dining room connection to a detached kitchen from the 1850s. Acquired by Salem Presbyterian Church in 1854, the parsonage was sold in 1941 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992, making it a significant site for both tourists and researchers interested in American architectural history.
