San Diego Air & Space Museum

The San Diego Air & Space Museum is located in Balboa Park in the historic Ford Building, constructed for the 1935–1936 California Pacific International Exposition. In 1978 an arson fire destroyed significant portions of the museum's collection and building, prompting a major restoration and rebuilding effort. The museum preserves and displays historic aircraft and space artifacts and runs educational programs about aviation and space history.
