McNay Art Museum - Texas' first modern art museum

The McNay Art Museum was founded on the estate of Marion Koogler McNay and opened to the public in 1954 as the first modern art museum in Texas. The museum combines a Spanish Colonial Revival mansion with modern galleries and holds significant collections of 19th- and 20th-century European and American art as well as Latin American works. It offers rotating exhibitions, educational programs, and community events on its campus.
