Old Town Hall of Timișoara

The Old Town Hall, located in Liberty Square, Timișoara, is a historical monument built between 1731 and 1734, reflecting the city's rich cultural heritage. Originally constructed for German colonists after the Austrian conquest, it served as the city council's headquarters until 1949. The building showcases eclectic architecture with classicist elements, featuring a grand facade that has undergone several renovations. Notably, it houses an Ottoman Turkish inscription, the only public reminder of the city's Ottoman past. Today, it is home to the Faculty of Music of the West University, making it a vibrant part of Timișoara's educational landscape.
