Hastings Community Center

The Hastings Community Center, a historic building in Hastings, Florida, was constructed in 1937 with funding from local government and the Works Progress Administration. It served various community functions, including government offices, a library, and meeting spaces for civic organizations like the American Legion. Despite its historical significance, the building fell into disrepair after the town dissolved in 2018, leading to its demolition in 2019. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007, but a petition to delist it was submitted in 2022 due to its deteriorated condition.
