Old Post Office Tower observation deck - a secluded panoramic view

The Old Post Office Pavilion's 315-foot clock tower on Pennsylvania Avenue includes a public observation deck and National Park Service–run tower tours that provide panoramic views of central Washington, D.C. The Romanesque Revival building dates to the early 20th century and its tower is one of the few elevated public viewpoints in the downtown area outside dedicated monuments. Because the tower requires a separate visit and sometimes tour reservations, it can be an overlooked vantage point for visitors.
