Riggins Motel

The Riggins Motel, located in Riggins, Idaho, is a historic site listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 2001. Known also as the Rowe Motel, this U-shaped complex features five contributing buildings, including two cottages and three multi-unit sections with a total of 18 rooms. Built between 1946 and 1952, the motel showcases the Minimal Traditional style that was popular in mid-20th century America. It represents a significant transition in roadside hospitality, moving from cottage camps to motor courts, making it a noteworthy example of post-WWII motel architecture.
