Globe Building (Saint Paul)

The Globe Building was a historic ten-story office building in Downtown Saint Paul, Minnesota, originally serving as the headquarters for the Saint Paul Globe newspaper. Designed by E. Townsend Mix in an eclectic Romanesque Revival style, it featured an accessible open-air tower that offered panoramic views. Upon the newspaper's closure in 1905, the building transitioned to a general office space, undergoing multiple renovations, including the removal of its iconic tower in 1950. Ultimately, the Globe Building was demolished in 1959 to make way for the Degree of Honor Building, which opened in 1961.
