Apytalaukis Manor

Apytalaukis Manor, also known as Zabielos Manor, is a historic site located in the village of Apytalaukis in Lithuania's Kėdainiai district. Originally built in the early 18th century by the Šiukšta family, the manor features a brick palace and an expansive park designed in the style of an English garden. Over the years, it has been owned by notable families including the Karpiai and Tiškevičiai, and underwent significant renovations in the 19th century under the guidance of architect Kozłowski. The manor served various purposes, including a psychoneurological boarding school and a pensionate, but is now abandoned and has suffered damage from a fire in September 2022. This site offers a glimpse into Lithuania's aristocratic past and architectural evolution, making it a point of interest for tourists and researchers alike.
