Galo Arambarri Boarding House

The Galo Arambarri Boarding House, located near Shoshone, Idaho, is a historic stone building constructed between 1913 and 1914 by Basque stonemason Ignacio Berriochoa. Originally serving as a boarding house for Basque sheepherders, this one-and-a-half-story structure features distinctive architectural elements, including a narrow bargeboard on the front gable and three shallow dormers. Recognized for its historical significance, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983, making it an intriguing site for tourists and researchers interested in Basque heritage and early 20th-century American history.
