Ancient Order of United Workmen Temple

The Ancient Order of United Workmen Temple, also known as the Tourny Building, was a historic six-story structure in Portland, Oregon, completed in 1892 and demolished in 2017. Designed by architect Justus F. Krumbein, it showcased Richardsonian Romanesque architecture and served various purposes over the years, including a fraternal organization club, apartments, and housing the Oregon Historical Society. Despite its historical significance, the building was deemed unsafe and removed from the city's Historic Resource Inventory, leading to its demolition to make way for new developments, including a proposed hotel and office building.
