Mutual Building

The Mutual Building, located in Cape Town, South Africa, is an iconic example of art deco architecture, completed in 1940 as the headquarters for the Old Mutual insurance company. Notable for its dramatic ziggurat structure and one of the longest carved stone friezes in the world, the building reflects the colonial attitudes of its time.
