Sindh Assembly Building

The Sindh Assembly Building, located on Court Road in Karachi, is a historic structure that has played a significant role in Pakistan's political history. Constructed between 1940 and 1943 in the Art Deco style by architects Anderson & Asarpota, it served as the seat of the Provincial Assembly of Sindh until 2014 and was previously the venue for the Constituent Assembly of Pakistan and the National Assembly. The building was inaugurated on March 4, 1943, just a day after the Pakistan Resolution was presented there. Notably, it was also where Muhammad Ali Jinnah was sworn in as the governor-general of Pakistan. Today, the building houses the camp office of the chief minister and various legislative offices, with plans to convert the historic site into a museum, making it an intriguing destination for tourists and researchers interested in Pakistan's political heritage.
