United States Naval Observatory (Vice President's residence)

The United States Naval Observatory at 1 Observatory Circle NW serves as the official residence of the Vice President of the United States. The grounds and residence are located on a naval facility and are not open to the general public for tours. Access to the residence and many areas of the observatory is restricted to authorized personnel and vetted visitors for security reasons. The observatory also maintains active astronomical functions separate from the residence spaces.
