Iberia Academy and Junior College

Iberia Academy and Junior College, located in Iberia, Missouri, is a historic site featuring four notable buildings: a dormitory from 1905, an administration building constructed between 1922 and 1924, a gymnasium built in 1927, and a president's home dating back to 1888. These structures, which were primarily constructed by student labor, are situated on a unique triangular plot of approximately 2.66 acres. Initially supported by the Congregational church, the Academy was referred to as the 'Ozark Experiment' and operated until its closure in 1951. The site was recognized for its historical significance and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980, making it an interesting destination for tourists and researchers alike.
