Smidstrupøre

Smidstrupøre is a historic former country house located in Rungsted, north of Copenhagen, Denmark. Completed in 1917, this half-timbered structure was designed by architect Carl Brummer in a National Romantic style for businessman and art collector Valerius Ragoczy. The house has a rich history, having hosted notable guests such as author Karen Blixen and various artists. After changing ownership several times, it is currently owned by baron Johan Wedell-Wedellsborg, with plans for restoration announced for 2025. The property offers a glimpse into early 20th-century Danish architecture and the lifestyle of affluent families during that era.
