Heritage Plaza's Mayan-inspired crown

Heritage Plaza at 1111 Bagby Street is a 53-story office tower standing about 762 feet (232 m) tall, completed in 1987. The building is noted for its granite crown shaped like a stepped pyramid often compared to Mayan architecture, making it visually distinctive on the Houston skyline. It remains a prominent example of 1980s postmodern skyscraper design in downtown Houston.
