Wanamaker Building and Wanamaker Organ (Grand Court)

The Wanamaker Building at 1300 Market Street retains its historic Grand Court and houses the Wanamaker Organ, widely recognized as the largest operational pipe organ in the world. The organ, assembled and expanded over decades, remains a focal architectural and acoustic feature of the building's interior public space. The Grand Court's marble staircases and open court retain the character of the former John Wanamaker department store’s monumental retail architecture.
