Neligh Mill

The Neligh Mill, a historic water-powered flour mill located in Neligh, Nebraska, was built in 1873 by the town's founder, John Neligh. It operated for nearly a century, grinding various grains and even generating electricity for the town until its closure in 1969. Now maintained by the Nebraska State Historical Society, it is the only 19th-century mill in the state with all original equipment intact. Visitors can explore exhibits in the original warehouse and the restored office building, learning about the mill's significant role in Nebraska's agricultural history.
