Ridgeton Farm

Ridgeton Farm is a historic Italianate style home located on Taylor's Island in Dorchester County, Maryland. Built between 1857 and 1860 by local architect Fred Ridgeton, this two-story house features distinctive architectural elements such as a hip roof with a center gable, a widow's walk, and two large interior chimneys. The property also includes a collection of 19th-century barns and sheds, making it a fascinating site for both tourists and researchers interested in Maryland's architectural history. Ridgeton Farm was recognized for its historical significance and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.
