McVitty Home

McVitty House, also known as the Inn at Burwell Place, is a charming historic building in Salem, Virginia, built in 1906 and expanded in 1925. This 2+1⁄2-story Colonial Revival style home features a picturesque wrap-around porch with Tuscan columns, intricate dormers, and beautiful fanlight windows. Now operating as a bed and breakfast, it offers a unique opportunity for tourists and researchers to experience a piece of history. The house was recognized for its historical significance and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.
