de Young Museum

The de Young Museum, part of the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, occupies a building in Golden Gate Park designed by Herzog & de Meuron that opened in 2005. The museum traces its origins to an 1895 museum and houses collections of American art, textile arts, and international contemporary art. Its Hamon Tower and copper-clad exterior are visible landmarks within the park.
