Niels Esperson Building (Esperson Tower)

The Niels Esperson Building, commonly called the Esperson Tower, is a 23-story skyscraper completed in 1927 and noted for its Italian Renaissance/Palazzo Vecchio-inspired design. It was commissioned by businessman Niels Esperson and remains one of Houston's early 20th-century landmark commercial towers. The building's ornate terra cotta detailing and distinctive tower cap make it a recognizable feature of downtown Houston's historic skyline.
