Frank E. Schoonover Studios

The Frank E. Schoonover Studios, located in Wilmington, Delaware, is a historic site that served as a creative hub for notable illustrators trained by Howard Pyle, including Frank Schoonover and N.C. Wyeth. Built in 1905 in a distinctive architectural style, the studios were funded by philanthropist Samuel Bancroft and designed by architect Capt. E.L. Rice, Jr. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. After Schoonover's death in 1972, artists restored the property, and it continues to be a point of interest, highlighted by a special exhibition at the Delaware History Museum in 2006.
