Georgetown Hoyas' downtown home at Capital One Arena

Since the arena opened in 1997 (as the MCI Center), Georgetown University men's basketball has used Capital One Arena as its primary site for many home games and major matchups. The downtown venue allowed the Hoyas to host larger crowds and high‑profile opponents while continuing to use on‑campus facilities for other activities. Capital One Arena has hosted numerous Big East conference games featuring Georgetown over the decades.
