Ferry Building Marketplace

The San Francisco Ferry Building was completed in 1898 and is distinguished by its 245-foot clock tower inspired by the Giralda bell tower in Seville. Since a major renovation completed in 2003, the building's interior has housed the Ferry Plaza Marketplace, a collection of artisan food vendors and restaurants. The Ferry Plaza Farmers Market, founded in 1993, operates several days a week and is widely cited as a model public-market program.
