Fisher Building (Art Deco commercial and theater complex)

The Fisher Building is an Art Deco skyscraper completed in the late 1920s that houses elaborate lobbies, commercial offices, retail spaces, and the Fisher Theatre. Its richly ornamented interior and exterior have made it an architectural landmark and a center for performing arts in Detroit. The building's ground-level and lobby decorative work feature extensive tile, marble, and mosaic details that are frequently cited in architectural tours of the city. The Fisher Theatre inside the building continues to present Broadway touring productions and other performances.
