Naval Research Laboratory restricted research areas

The U.S. Naval Research Laboratory at the Washington campus is the Navy's corporate research laboratory conducting basic and applied science and engineering for the Navy and Marine Corps. The campus includes laboratories and test facilities that require security clearances for access; many internal spaces and certain research programs are restricted to authorized personnel. Visitors and contractors must be vetted and escorted in controlled areas to protect sensitive equipment and information.
