Frederick Collins House

The Frederick Collins House, located at 1734 Beacon Street in Newton, Massachusetts, is a notable historic site built in 1847. It is distinguished as the only temple-front Greek Revival house in the Waban village, featuring impressive two-story Ionic columns and a decorative triangular pediment. The house's unique design includes a flushboarded tympanum that mimics the look of ashlar stone, along with Ionic porches at the side entrances and corner pilasters. Recognized for its architectural significance, the house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986, making it a point of interest for both tourists and researchers exploring the region's historical architecture.
