Westward Ho

The Westward Ho opened in 1928 as a 16-story hotel and for a time was the tallest building in Phoenix, becoming an early city skyline landmark. The building's prominent neon 'WESTWARD HO' sign and its Spanish Colonial Revival–influenced detailing have made it an enduring downtown icon. Over the decades it has housed hotel operations and residential apartments, illustrating adaptive reuse of historic high-rises in Phoenix.
