Marsh–Place Building

The Marsh–Place Building, located at 627 Sycamore St. in Waterloo, Iowa, is a historic six-story structure built in 1910. Recognized for its distinctive Commercial Style architecture, it exemplifies the three-part base-shaft-capital design akin to classical columns. Designed by architects Hallett & Rawson, it was individually listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998 and later became a contributing property in the Waterloo East Commercial Historic District in 2011, making it a significant site for both tourists and researchers interested in early 20th-century architecture.
