McNay Art Museum (Clifford estate / Marion Koogler McNay House)

The McNay Art Museum is housed in a 1920s Spanish Colonial Revival mansion that was bequeathed by Marion Koogler McNay and opened as a public museum in 1954. It was the first modern art museum in Texas and combines the historic house with later gallery additions to display European and American modern and contemporary collections. The property sits on landscaped grounds in the city's Near Northwest Side.
