Rockhurst, built in 1891 on Bellevue Avenue in Newport, Rhode Island, showcases a stunning Châteauesque architectural style with its rounded towers and open arcaded gallery. Originally constructed for Mrs. H. Mortimer Brooks, the estate reflects influences from the chateaux of the Loire Valley. Over the years, it changed hands multiple times, being renamed Aspen Hall and later owned by notable figures including Frederick H. Prince. Although the main house was demolished in 1955, the gate house, carriage house, and gardener’s cottage remain, offering a glimpse into the estate's rich history and architectural beauty, making it an intriguing site for tourists and researchers alike.
