Toddsbury

Toddsbury is a historic house located in Gloucester County, Virginia, built around 1669 by Thomas Todd. This 17th-century brick home features an L-shaped design and has undergone 18th-century additions. It was inhabited by the Todd family until 1880 and later became a significant preservation project for Virginia preservationist Mrs. Charles Beatty Moore, who placed it on the National Register of Historic Places in 1969. Known as the 'Jewel of the Tidewater,' Toddsbury offers a glimpse into colonial architecture and the rich history of early American settlers.
