Sennicotts

Sennicotts is a historic estate located near Chichester, West Sussex, England, established in 1809 by Charles Baker, a retired British East India Company officer. The estate features a house designed by architect James Elmes, showcasing unique architectural elements reminiscent of Sir John Soane's style. Notable for its cube-shaped entrance hall and elegantly decorated drawing and dining rooms, Sennicotts has a rich history, including being the first home of Prince Louis of Battenberg after his marriage in 1884. The estate has changed hands several times, with significant owners including Captain Geoffrey Bowes-Lyon, a relative of Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother. Today, it remains in the family of its last private owner, Mrs. Rowland Rank.
