Wool Warehouse

The Wool Warehouse, located in Bridger, Montana, is a historic site built around 1900 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1987. Originally constructed by the Northern Pacific Railway Company, this large wood-frame building played a significant role in the wool industry, with Montana being a leading wool producer in the early 1900s. The warehouse was strategically positioned next to a former railway line, facilitating the shipment of wool, with Carbon County contributing significantly to the state's production. In the 1920s, the building was repurposed as a bean cleaning facility, showcasing its adaptability over time. Known also as the Glidden Mercantile Warehouse, it stands as a testament to the region's agricultural history.
