New Amsterdam Theatre

Opened in 1903 and designed by Herts & Tallant, the New Amsterdam Theatre was a flagship of early 20th-century Broadway and hosted the Ziegfeld Follies. It declined mid-century and underwent an extensive restoration in the 1990s, reopening in 1997 as a restored Broadway theatre. The building is a New York City designated landmark noted for its ornate Beaux-Arts exterior and richly decorated interior.
