Blue Mustang ("Blucifer") at Denver International Airport

Blue Mustang is a 32-foot-tall, bright blue fiberglass sculpture by Luis Jiménez located on the grounds of Denver International Airport; it was installed in 2008 near the airport’s Jeppesen Terminal. The sculpture is notable for its glowing red eyes and has received extensive media and social-media attention since installation. During fabrication in 2006 a section of the sculpture fell and fatally injured the artist, an event that added to the work’s notoriety in news coverage. The airport address is the customary reference location for visitors viewing the sculpture.
