Clarion Alley Mural Project

Clarion Alley, managed in part by the Clarion Alley Mural Project founded in 1992, contains dozens of community murals addressing political and cultural themes. Photographs of individual murals and the alley's colorful walls are frequently shared and repurposed on social media and in image edits that circulate as memes representing San Francisco's street-art scene. The alley lies between Mission and Valencia streets and is a documented site of rotating public art.
