Painted Ladies (Postcard Row)

The Painted Ladies is the informal name for a row of late-19th-century Victorian houses on Steiner Street across from Alamo Square Park, often called 'Postcard Row.' The frontage including 710 Steiner St is frequently photographed as an iconic San Francisco streetscape and has appeared in film and television establishing shots, notably the opening credits of the TV series Full House. The houses exemplify the city's Victorian residential architecture and are a longstanding cultural and tourist landmark.
