Charlotte Storm Water Services and storm drain stenciling program

Charlotte Storm Water Services, a division of the City of Charlotte, runs a storm drain stenciling and public-education program that places "No Dumping - Drains to Waterways" markings on storm inlet openings and organizes volunteer stencil events. The division also processes reports of illicit discharges and stormwater complaints through the city's service request system. These programs and enforcement activities are administered out of the City's municipal offices.
